Belt Dryer

The belt dryer which transports materials into the drying chamber using a belt conveyor. It is suitable for drying materials with good permeability, such as flakes, strips, and granules. It is particularly suitable for dehydrated vegetables, Chinese medicinal slices, and other materials with high moisture content but are not allowed to be exposed to high temperatures.

Advantage Of Belt Dryer

Automatic Continuous Drying

The belt dryer achieves automatic continuous drying, allowing for continuous feeding and discharge while maintaining an open dryer configuration.

Wide Range of Applications

Suitable for a variety of materials, particularly ideal for flakes, strips, and granules with good permeability.

High Efficiency

Advanced hot air circulation technology ensures efficient drying, reducing energy consumption and costs.
Stability and Reliability

Constructed with high-quality materials and precision engineering for long-term stability and minimal maintenance.

Specification Of Belt Dryer

Working Principle Of Belt Dryer

The material is evenly spread onto the mesh belt by the feeder, which typically uses a 12-60 mesh stainless steel wire mesh. The mesh belt is driven by a transmission device to move within the dryer. The dryer consists of several units, with each unit having independent circulation of hot air. Some of the exhaust gases are discharged by a dedicated dehumidifying fan, and the exhaust gas is controlled by a regulating valve. The hot air passes through the material-filled mesh belt from bottom to top or top to bottom, completing the process of heat and mass transfer to remove moisture from the material. The mesh belt moves slowly, and the operating speed can be freely adjusted according to the material temperature. The dried product continuously falls into the receiving device. The upper and lower circulating units can be flexibly equipped according to user needs, and the number of units can also be selected as needed.
We offer both single-stage and multi-stage belt dryers tailored to meet different customer needs. Additional features such as baffles, detachable mesh belts, and cooling units can be added for enhanced functionality and ease of use.
single layer belt dryer working principle Single-layer belt dryer is suitable for drying flake, strip, and granular materials with good permeability, making it ideal for dehydrated vegetables, Chinese medicinal herbs, and materials sensitive to high temperatures.
multi layer belt dryer working principle Multi stage continuous belt dryer is suitable for mass production of materials with low drying rates. They feature compact structures, simple operation, and stable performance.

Belt Dryer FAQ

  • What are the disadvantages of using a belt dryer?

    1. Large space requirement: They occupy significant floor space.
    2. Potential for uneven drying: If not properly loaded, the material might not dry uniformly.
    3. Maintenance: Requires regular cleaning to avoid cross-contamination, especially in food and pharmaceutical applications.
  • Differences between belt dryer and hot air circulation oven

    1. Belt dryer has transmission device, while hot air circulation oven does not, which is determined by the design principle of the equipment.
    2. Hot air circulation oven loading requires manual placement of materials on the baking tray, and then placing the baking tray on the drying cart and pushing it into the oven, while belt dryer can achieve automatic drying, and the material can be dropped onto the mesh belt through the feeder.
    3. Hot air circulation oven is an intermittent production equipment, while belt dryer is a continuous drying equipment.
    4. Hot air circulation oven is suitable for small batch production, while belt dryer is suitable for large batch continuous production.
